Are you scared of being too busy? How to Live Without Regrets

I have no regrets!!!

Can you honestly say that out loud right now and believe it as true?

If it’s a yes, super ecstatic for you!

To live without regrets is the game plan in this lifetime for sure. Opportunities don’t come by everyday, so you have to grab them while they’re hot.

But if you think you’re living life full of regrets, that sucks…

The world is your oyster my friend!

You can literally be anything you want to be, go anywhere you want to go, experience anything you want to experience, and it’s all up to you to make these things happen!

No ifs, no buts, no lame excuses that you can’t do it because you ABSOLUTELY can!!!

Let me start with the why of it all… Why you are living with regret and what’s stopping you from taking the plunge for who knows how long.

“I Am Too Busy…”

You know you have to do one thing, your inner voice is screaming inside and wanting to get things done, yet you are holding yourself back from it.

Why the heck do you do that???

Stop saying “life happens” and quit blaming things on life.

Your life is what you make it. Life doesn’t go on autopilot and do things for you.

Direct your life and don’t drift.

Say that again:

Direct life, don’t drift.

Yeah, I understand you have a mortgage to keep up with for 23 more years, you have a hectic 8 to 5 J.O.B that eats up your morning and afternoon and evening, you’ve got 5+ mouths to feed so you’re doing all this side hustle and freelancing gigs on top of your employee stuff…

Your life is one big pile of hectic-ness, I get that.

But reality check – you’re still in control of things, right?

You have a choice to not hit the mall and buy useless junk every payday, and you have a choice to set a budget and actually save instead of letting money flow down the drain, you have a choice to start growing your side hustle that can potentially explode and become a lifestyle business, and you have a choice to spend time on your hobbies and interests and things that matter to you instead of grinding it out at the office all the time and letting the workaholic monster eat you up.

“I Am Too Busy…”

So why do you still keep playing that “I am too busy” tape in your head over and over in exchange for living life without regrets?

Maybe you’re afraid of overcommitting, or failing at doing what you want to do… Or you are afraid of success.

All of these things are making you miss out on your preferable life.

And being very busy with things that don’t really matter is what’s pulling you farther from your ultimate goals in life.

That Fear of Being Too Busy is The Fear of Success

Have you been in a nursing home?

Visited a couple a few times for volunteer work, and the reality of what goes on in there is depressing:

Many people in nursing homes have a lot of regrets in life.

These folks sit in their rocking chair for hours, twiddle their thumbs, wear long faces BEFORE being in a nursing home…

They wish they had zero regrets and yet there they are, having so many hang-ups and things they regret from their past.

They just pretty much succumbed to old age and told themselves they’re too old to do the things they’ve always wanted to do.

That Fear of Being Too Busy is The Fear of Success

If they only met my grams and gramps, riding the roller coaster, trekking, going on cruise ships, snapping selfies with the pyramid of Giza in the background… At 80-ish!!!

They’re not afraid of doing things they’ve always wanted to do and actually made time for these things because passion, dreams, and adventure fuel life!

There are people in their hundreds still living life the way they want to – out of nursing homes and thriving to achieve their goals and aspirations in life.

They have done everything they wanted to do, things they were passionate about.

They never allowed a single moment to pass without checking things off of their to-do list or even their bucket list.

These are the people who did not waste their time worrying or holding back whenever career opportunities came knocking.

So at the end of the day, they never dealt with voices in their head saying, “I wish I had cared less about what other people think. I wish I had accomplished more.”

When you are afraid of being too busy, you are succumbing to the kind of regrets people have because holding back for their dreams to happen.

This was the kind of space where I was a year ago, and my business was born out of pure hustle and no capital.

Door to door was the name of the game and it helped me get more work than I could handle. It got to a point that I had to have a team behind me to take care of the load of work we were getting.

About 2 to 3 months later, I realized I needed more business just to secure my needs or my uncertainties in dealing with my expenses and calculating my profits at the same time.

At the same time, I succumbed to the fear of being too busy, which caused that momentum for lead generation to go off. I picked myself back up, had to start from zero again, and tried to pick the pace up a bit, for the second time.

Screw Living Life Full of Regrets…. Go Zero Regrets!

When people ask you to do stuff, you are accomplishing their dreams.

But when you do what you want to do, you are actualizing your dreams.

There are no regrets!

No wonder there’s a saying that goes, “If you want something done, ask a busy person to do it”…

So from now on, get busy for yourself, for the fulfillment of the kind of life you have.

Don’t live a life of regrets and achieve your preferable life!
